Rev. Kris King, founder and director of Kovenant Kids International, Inc., has been serving the Lord for twenty-six years. She was on the staff of a large church in Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA for sixteen years where she was formerly ordained to the gospel ministry in June 1995. While serving at this large interdenominational church, she started and directed the Children's Ministries and the Women's Ministry and supervised the Sunday School Department in her position as Director of Christian Education. She has baptized and counseled many women and children.
When God called Kris King to the mission field in 1994, she trained replacements to head the Women's Ministry and the Children's Ministry at the church and began traveling to many nations beginning with Kenya where she founded an international children's ministry (Children's Evangelistic Ministries) to train children's workers. Since then the ministry in Eldoret, Kenya has grown with branches in Iganda, Uganda and Mombasa, Kenya and many other areas.
In 1999, Kris King opened the House of Prayer in Alamogordo, NM as an interdenominational prayer ministry and missions training center. Several people were trained, ordained and sent out to serve. She also performs wedding, funeral and ordination services. The House of Prayer Mission, started in 2000, is a street ministry which feeds the homeless two meals everyday and offers shelter, clothing, showers, transportation, medicines, etc. Several alcoholics have been saved and delivered through this ministry. The director, Gary Meyers, is one whose life was changed.
Kris King produces and hosts a weekly television program in southern New Mexico, "Prepare the Way", which has been running for over 4 years. In addition, she has hosted many local telethons and has appeared as a guest several times on a television program (Light of the Southwest) in Midland, Texas and has been a guest on several local radio and television programs.
King has been on a number of church-planting missions in Kenya and Kyrgyzstan (former USSR). She has taught leadership/pastors schools in the USA, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Philippines, Russia, Ukraine, England, Costa Rica, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Sweden and Lithuania. In addition to these nations, she has preached in South Africa, Estonia, Latvia and ministered in many other nations as well. In recent years, King has conducted large healing/evangelistic crusades in the Philippines, Pakistan and many African nations. She has been used mightily in the healing ministry and desires to impart this healing gift to pastors and leaders all over the world. King is a member of the World Healing Fellowship, a ministry of Benny Hinn Ministries, which acts as a covering for Kris King International Ministries. Pastor Benny prayed a prayer of impartation upon King in 2003.
